Sheridan is confident his side can beat the drop this season
Barrow joint boss Darren Sheridan was "encouraged" by his team's display despite losing 2-1 at Blue Square Premier leaders Burton.
The Bluebirds remain 18th, two points above the relegation places, after suffering a fifth defeat in their last six away matches.
"The lads have been brilliant in the last few games and have given 100%," Sheridan told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"If they continue to show that same spirit we will be OK this season."
Jason Walker scored his 15th goal of the season to pull the Bluebirds back to 2-1 on Monday to set-up a nervous finish for Burton, who are now 17 points clear at the top.
He's just got to keep on scoring goals and he might get his move, you never know

"They're a good side and that's why they're top of the league," Sheridan said.
"We had a lot of pressure in the first half and they had a lot of corners but we defended very well.
"It took a deflection for them to score but to be fair they did deserve the win but our lads showed great spirit and stayed in the game."
Sheridan also believes Walker's goal will attract more attention for the Barrow-born forward.
"He's done really well this season and scored some great goals," he said.
"He's just got to keep on scoring goals and he might get his move, you never know."
Barrow now face fellow strugglers Salisbury City at Holker Street on Saturday.
