Barrow joint-boss Dave Bayliss has praised midfielder Luke Joyce following his loan move from Carlisle United.
The 21-year-old made his Bluebirds' debut in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Brentford at Holker Street.
"We saw him last season and he really impressed me," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria. "He doesn't try to do the difficult things on the ball."
"You don't play at a team like Carlisle United if you haven't got something about you."
Joyce, who began his career at Wigan Athletic, has made five first-team appearances for Carlisle in League One this season.

"I thought he kept the shape really well and he didn't go missing," Bayliss said.
"Luke did the nasty side of the game that Mark Boyd doesn't do all the time. They complimented each other really well."
The Bluebirds boss revealed that he is now receiving calls from other clubs who are ready to offer their players on loan deals.
"They are saying we've done really well and we've got this lad, I've got that lad. It shows we're making great strides all the time.
"We need better quality players coming in and our Cup run might enable us to spend a bit more money. Our profile is rising all the time."
Barrow will travel to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round on 3 January.
