Brodie scored four times in six games while on-loan at Barrow
York City manager Martin Foyle says striker Richard Brodie will not be leaving the club despite interest from Blue Square Premier rivals Barrow.
Brodie, 21, has scored four goals in three games since returning from a loan spell at Holker Street and is reported to be a target for the Bluebirds.
"It's news to me," Foyle told BBC Radio York. "If they want to get hold of me, then they know my number.
"But as far as I'm concerned, he's not going anywhere anyway."
City overturned their original decision to allow Brodie to extend his loan spell with Barrow for a further month after he scored four goals in six appearances for the Bluebirds.
He's one of those players who'll just do anything for you

The Barrow management team of Dave Bayliss and Darren Sheridan have made no secret of their wish to bring the England C international back to Cumbria on a long-term basis.
However, it appears the Minstermen are now unwilling to let the player leave in the transfer window.
Brodie hit 10 goals for York last season, after joining from Newcastle Benfield in January 2007.
"He's one of those players that you love and he'll just do anything for you - [he'll] just get on with it," Foyle said.
"I just want to try and work on his hold-up play and just be a little bit more alive when balls are played in to him, but that will come."
