York City are through to the second round of the FA Trophy after Richard Brodie's brace saw them to a 2-0 first-round win over Northwich Victoria.
Striker Brodie's goals helped set up a tie at Oxford United on 10 Januay.
Manager Martin Foyle told BBC Radio York he was very happy with the team's performance as well as that of Brodie.
"I was absolutely delighted for Brodie. He's one of those players that you love and he'll just do anything for you, just get on with it."
Foyle picked out Brodie's first goal as one of the best he had seen this season.
"He deserved that goal because he started to lead the line very well.
"For me that's goal of the season and with his weaker foot as well. He made up his mind and the keeper Clarke had no chance.

"I just want to try and work on his hold-up play and just be a little bit more alive when balls are played in to him but that will come.
"He's 21, he's told me he hasn't had a lot of coaching.
"All the strikers have worked very very hard and the ones that are hot are the ones you are going to play."
