Hill only managed two appearances for Barnsley before his injury set-back

Barnsley have extended the loan deal of Wolves defender Matt Hill to keep him at Oakwell until January.

The 29-year-old was signed last month as cover for the injured Jay McEveley but suffered a fractured foot and returned to his parent club.

But as he is nearing fitness, the Reds have offered Hill a new deal.

Boss Mark Robins told the club website: "We have spoken with the medical team at Wolves and Matt should be fit in a week or 10 days."

He added: "We are delighted to have him back and he did well when he was here last time."
