Atkinson has signed on loan until January

Rotherham have signed Hull left winger Will Atkinson and West Brom defender Paul Downing on loan until 4 January to cover for injuries.

Atkinson, 22, has played in the Premier League for Hull and has had loan spells with Port Vale, Mansfield and Rochdale.

Downing, 19, made six appearances during a loan spell at Hereford last season but has not played for Albion.

Meanwhile, manager Ronnie Moore says that midfielder Marcus Marshall could be the subject of a bid in January.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I don't want to sell or let him go, but there will be interest. People are looking for people with pace and height, at 6ft 1in he is tall and he is lean."
