Aldershot's Jones upbeat despite five draws in a row
Jones has made 33 appearances for Aldershot this season
Aldershot Town defender Darren Jones is staying upbeat despite the side drawing their last five games in League Two.
The Shots currently lie 10 points off the play-off places and nine points above the relegation zone.
But the 27-year-old told BBC Surrey: "We haven't lost in a long time, we've got to take the positives from that.
"I know we aren't winning but we are picking up points. I think at the end of the season they could be valuable. They could get us in to the play-offs."
The former Forest Green and Hereford centre-back added: "We've gone behind in a couple of games and we've come back.
"We're a lot fitter now. It goes to show we're all fighting for it and none of us are giving up."
Jones continued: "The last couple of goals (we've conceded) have been due to a lack of concentration from a free kick or a throw in but if we can sort them out then I think we'll be fine because in free play we're normally pretty good."
