The midweek defeat at Torquay could be a useful wake-up call, according to Aldershot Town striker Marvin Morgan.
The Shots were on a six match unbeaten run but lost 2-0 to Torquay on Tuesday, dropping to seventh in League Two.
Morgan told BBC Surrey: "You think maybe we needed it just to liven us up a bit. We've got to carry on how we're playing and push on.
"It was only a blip - we've been playing well. To lose that one game at home is nothing to worry about really."
The Shots currently occupy the last play-off spot, but the teams between fourth and 11th are split by only five points with four games remaining.

"If you look at the table, the league is so tight we can't afford to drop points, especially home points," Morgan added.
"But we're unbeaten in six games so there's no point panicking or thinking there's something wrong because there isn't."
