Stephen Henderson's Aldershot Town loan spell cut short
Henderson joined Aldershot on an initial month's loan in February
Stephen Henderson has been recalled from his loan spell at Aldershot Town by parent club Bristol City.
The Irish keeper made eight consecutive appearances for the Shots after joining at the beginning of February.
A foot injury picked up by Steve Collis has prompted City boss Gary Johnson to invoke a 24-hour recall clause.
Shots manager Kevin Dillon told BBC Surrey: "It's a shame. I'd like to thank Stephen for his time at the club, he's done a great job."
He added: "He played really well, last three games he's had two clean sheets, so he's done well. It's a big loss but we'll move on."
The decision by Gary Johnson to recall Henderson leaves Mikhael Jaimez Ruiz as the only senior goalkeeper at Aldershot.
"I've got a lot of confidence in Mikhael and I think he'll have benefited from his time out of the team. But I need to bring someone else in straight away as cover," Dillon added.
City boss Gary Johnson told his club website: "We can't take any chances so we've recalled Stephen from Aldershot. He's done very well and we'll have no issues throwing him into the team.
"It's fair to say Aldershot were disappointed to hear the news but it's something we've had to do."
Aldershot Town had previously extended Henderson's loan until Thursday, 1 April.
