Accrington Stanley have added to their squad for the new season with the signing of midfielder Jimmy Ryan, 19.
Ryan won the FA Youth Cup as a trainee at Liverpool but ended last season on loan at Shrewsbury and has impressed while on trial with Stanley.
"He's done well in a couple of games, is keen, ambitious and wants to do well in his career," manager John Coleman told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"He's used to winning and we hope this will be a springboard."
