The Old Firm have expressed an interest in membership of the group of Europe's leading clubs, which already includes the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid. And general manager Thomas Kurth believes that there is no reason why the Glasgow giants should not be allowed to join. He told Scotland on Sunday: "It has been discussed and Rangers and Celtic have demonstrated their interest and asked for membership. "There are a number of good reasons why they could become good members. "They have excellent facilities, they are very well managed financially, and are both clubs with huge supports. "There is nothing which would discredit them." |
