Saints title hopes over - Harris

Mike Harris
Saints MD Mike Harris says his players are playing for their future

The New Saints Managing Director Mike Harris has conceded that their hopes of wining the Welsh Premier League title this season are over.

Saints have fallen eight points behind league leaders Rhyl following draws against Porthmadog and Haverfordwest.

Harris told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I think we can kiss goodbye to the title. The best we can do now is third."

The New Saints have dropped too many points away from Park Hall, winning just five of their 12 away games.

"The club will be looking hard at the team we've got at the moment," said Harris. "There might be be a shake-up next season."

Saints take on Connah's Quay at the Deeside Stadium on Friday night (1930 GMT).
