Nigerian-born striker Moses Ashikodi has been given the chance to resurrect his League career with Shrewsbury Town.
The 21-year-old trialist, who already has a string of clubs including Rangers and Watford on his football 'cv', hit two goals for the reserves in midweek.
"He has size, he has pace, and he got into good positions," Town boss Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"It's a little bit of a no-brainer to get him. It isn't costing us a fortune, and he's desperate to get back."
Ashikodi began his career at Millwall, where he made headlines by becoming their youngest ever player when he made his debut in March 2003 at the age of 15 years and 240 days.

He later joined West Ham before spending six months at Rangers, for whom he made just one brief appearance as an 89th minute substitute in an Old Firm match at Celtic Park.
He then moved to Watford in January 2007, making two appearances as a late Premiership sub before being loaned out to Bradford City.
But, after being loaned out twice more in his two years at Vicarage Road, to Swindon Town last season and then to Hereford United for the first four months of this season, he was released by Watford in January.
"He's at a point in his career where he needs to knuckle down and show me and anyone else watching that he has got the ability to make it," said Simpson.
