Ryan Berry made a big impact with Glentoran as a teenager
Midfielder Ryan Berry has signed for Ballymena United after being released by Glentoran manager Scott Young.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season with Championship outfit Coagh United after failing to challenge for a first-team place at the Oval.
Berry made a big impression as a teenager, with impressive displays for Glentoran, including the 2006 Irish Cup final defeat to Linfield.
He made 74 appearances for the Glens, scoring two goals.
One of those was the winning goal in the 2008 County Antrim Shield final.
Berry has signed a one-year contract with the Showgrounds club.
Meanwhile United have also added Ballymoney United central defender Denver Gage to their panel and are keen to have Larne goalkeeper Ryan Brown in their ranks.
