Paul Millar has been impressed with the talented teenager |
Glentoran teenager Ryan Berry has been handed an extended deal which will keep him at the Oval until 2008. Glens boss Paul Millar offered the 17-year-old midfielder a new contract after an impressive display against SK Brann in the Uefa Cup last week.
Berry was an instant hit after moving up from the reserves during an injury crisis at the start of the year.
Despite his inexperience he was included in the team which lost to Linfield in the Irish Cup final in May.
The Glens were defeated 1-0 by Norwegian outfit Brann in the Uefa Cup qualifying round first leg at the Oval.
Ex-Rangers striker Charlie Miller came on at half-time and he set up Migen Memelli's winning goal on 68 minutes.
The return leg in Norway will be played on Thursday, 27 July.
