Kevin Kelbie is on the move from Ballymena United, with at least two Irish League clubs and one in Scotland thought to be pursuing the striker.

Kelbie scored 15 goals for the Sky Blues last season but has not been offered a new contract after holding talks with United manager Roy Walker.

Michael Halliday, who has been released by Glentoran, and Richard Gibson are among the players who may join United.

"I'd like to show Michael that there's life after Glentoran," said Walker.

"I know Michael from other areas of life and we'll hopefully sit down and have a chat soon.

"From the conversation I had with Kevin, it's clear that his heart lies elsewhere and by his own admission he could have done better this season."

David Cushley, Noel Anderson, Gary Muir and Nathan McConnell are also being released by the club but Albert Watson and Aidan Watson are among the players mulling over new contract offers.

Albert Watson held talks with Glenavon boss Marty Quinn in January and could move from the Showgrounds to Mourneview Park.

Walker is more hopeful however that Aidan Watson may accept his new terms while young defender Aaron Stewart has indicated a willingness to remain at the club.

Coleraine striker Gibson has been a long-term target of United and Walker hopes he may bring "a higher degree of physicality" to the squad if he decides to sign.

Chris Ramsey has informed United that he would favour a move back to full-time football and his future is expected to be decided soon.

Larne goalkeeper Ryan Brown is another possible target on the the Warden Street club's radar.
