Dungannon Swifts move back to the top of the Carling Irish Premiership by hammering Portadown 4-1 at Shamrock Park on Saturday
Dungannon Swifts moved back to the top of the Carling Premiership with a thumping 4-1 win over Portadown.
Ryan Mullan headed in from a few yards out after Timmy Adamson headed down on 59 minutes and Neil McCafferty fired home the second from 25 yards after 73.
David McCullough headed in from a Neil Teggart cross three minutes later but Shane Coney touched the ball past David Miskelly on 84 minutes to make it 3-1.
McCafferty scored with an 87th-minute penalty after Adamson had been fouled.
Michael Ward skewed a shot wide and fired another effort wide of the post as Swifts enjoyed the better of the first half.
The Ports began the second half strongly and John Convery went close with a header from Wesley Boyle's cross, before Swifts took control.
Boyle conceded the late penalty by fouling Adamson, who had a late shot blocked by Miskelly.
