Midfielder Alain Emerson has completed his move from Crusaders to Dungannon Swifts on a one-year contract.

The former Loughgall player had been seeking a move from Seaview and Swifts boss Dixie Robinson pounced to bring the player back to Mid-Ulster.

Thirty-year-old Emerson could make his debut when Dungannon play Portadown in the Carling Premiership on Saturday.

Meanwhile, former Lisburn Distillery player John Martin has moved from Linfield to Crusaders.

Dungannon manager Robinson said he was delighted to get Emerson to Stangmore Park.

"I have been a fan of big 'Emo' for a long time now," Robinson told Dungannon's club website.

" Alain offers the team something we do not have - which is a six-foot one central midfielder who is great in the air."
