Michael Carvill was on target on his Linfield debut
Linfield were top scorers in the County Antrim Shield first round, Michael Carvill scoring two and Glenn Ferguson three in a 7-1 win over H&W Welders.
Gary Hamilton scored a hat-trick as holders Glentoran beat Newington YC 6-1 and Crusaders beat Dromara Village 2-0.
A Neil Teggart double helped Ballymena beat Ballyclare 3-0, Lisburn Distillery beat Wakehust 3-0, Curtis Allen scoring two, and Larne defeated Dundela 3-0.
Davy Munster scored as Donegal Celtic saw off Bangor 1-0 at Clandeboye Park.
The other scorers for the Blues in their romp over the Welders were Paul Harbinson with an own goal and Conor Downey, while Harbinson also scored a consolation goal for his own side in the second half.
Michael Halliday, Daryl Fordyce with a penalty and Darren Boyce each scored a goal for the Glens and Sean Adams replied with a late strike for the visitors.
Davitt Walsh opened the scoring for Ballymena, prior to Teggart's double salvo, and Distillery's other goal in their 3-0 win came courtesy of a Darren Armour penalty.
David Rainey and Gareth McKeown netted in Crusaders' 2-0 win at Seaview and Bertie Fulton scored twice and Ryan McLaughlin once in Larne's 3-0 victory over Interim League side Dundela.
