Alan McDonald is in his second season as Glentoran manager

Holders Glentoran will face Newington YC in the first round of this season's County Antrim Shield competition while Linfield will play H&W Welders.

The Glens will have home advantage against Ballymena United or Ballyclare Comrades in the second round.

Bangor play Donegal Celtic, Crusaders face Dromara Village, Cliftonville play Brantwood, Lisburn Distillery play Wakehurst and Larne host Dundela.

The first round matches are scheduled for Tuesday 19 August.
