Armagh City handed managerless Glenavon their eighth successive Carnegie Irish Premiership defeat. The home team were full value for their win although they took time to turn their superiority into goals.
Conor Forker latched on to Mark Turkington's superb pass to hammer Armagh ahead on 52 minutes.
Armagh's Terry Fitzpatrick was then sent off after getting his second yellow card but David Hawthorne added the second goal on 79 minutes.
Conor Forker went close for Armagh early on and Sean Cleary then wasted a couple of chances for the home side.
Glenavon's David Bracken had the ball in the Armagh net on 33 minutes but the effort was ruled out for offside.
Just before the interval, Forker had a shot cleared off the line while Liam Curran also clipped the Glenavon woodwork.
Turkington's great pass set up Forker for Armagh's opener seven minutes after the break.
Terry Fitzpatrick was handed a early bath after getting his second yellow card in the 75th minute but Armagh's victory was assured when David Hawthorn added his team's second goal four minutes later.
