Derry board holds Robertson talks
Derry City manager John Robertson
Robertson believes that Killian Brennan may leave the club
John Robertson's future as Derry City manager was discussed by the club's board of directors on Tuesday evening, BBC Sport understands.

Earlier this week, Robertson claimed that there was "a lack of transparency" at the club and said that he had been left "very unsettled".

Robertson did not attend Tuesday's board meeting.

The club has refused to comment on Tuesday's meeting and said that the manager was "attending to his duties".

Robertson's own domestic circumstances and the impending exits of the chairman Hugh McDaid and chief executive Jim Roddy appear to have frustrated the Scotsman.

"There's a huge void at present and given my personal situation at home there's a few things we need to talk about," said Robertson on Tuesday.

"There has to be transparency, which I don't see at the moment."

Hugh McDaid stepped down as Candystripes chairman in Setpember and chief executive Jim Roddy followed him out of the Brandywell a fortnight later.

"One or two questions need to be answered - things have to be quantified and clarified," added Roberston.

Regardless of whether I'm here or not the players we need for next season have been spoken to and are ready to commit

"I've tried to find out who the new board's going to be and I've been given no answer.

"I've tried to find out who the new chairman is going to be but again we don't know that.

"And how do you replace Jim Roddy? He was a perfect buffer between me and the board.

"All of these things need to be cleared up but that's not going to stop me doing my job.

"Regardless of whether I'm here or not the players we need for next season have been spoken to and are ready to commit.

"The sooner we can get this transparancy at all levels sorted out the better it will be for the club."

However, Robertson believes midfielder Killian Brennan will join Ken Oman in leaving City.

"Killian Brennan has been offered a contract but he has not got back to me for the last four or five weeks so it would appear he sees his future lying elsewhere."
