 Institute want a transfer fee for midfielder Tommy McCallion |
Tommy McCallion is unlikely to make a return to Coleraine after Institute told the Bannsiders they would have to pay �5,000 for the midfielder. Institute agreed that McCallion could leave the club and Coleraine boss Marty Quinn had agreed terms with the player before receiving the transfer demand.
But Quinn has made it clear that cash-strapped Coleraine will not pay Institute any money for McCallion.
Quinn has signed one former Bannsiders player, Graeme Philson.
Institute were relegated from the Carnegie Premier League last season.
Coleraine remain interested in bringing the former Derry City and Glentoran player back to the Showgrounds.
Quinn brought McCallion to Cliftonville when he was the manager in 1998.
