Loughgall 2-0 Banbridge Town
NATIONWIDE IRISH CUP
Brian Adair of Loughgall was sent-off in the first half
Loughgall qualified for the quarter-finals of the Nationwide Irish Cup thanks to a 2-0 home win over Second Division Banbridge Town.

The Premier League side took the lead midway through the first half when Stevie Coulter fired in a strong shot.

But they were then reduced to 10 men when Brian Adair received his second yellow card of the night.

Loughgall were better in second half and Darragh Peden grabbed a second to see them book a date with Larne.

Banbridge Town keeper Stephen Haveron pulled off saves from Clifford Sterritt and Keith Percy.

For Banbridge, Mark Quinn missed the ball from close-range after Dessie Gorman had headed across the face of goal.

"My heart sank when Brian Adair was sent-off but the guys dug in and we could have scored two or three more," said Loughgall manager Jim Gardiner.

"Stevie scored a screamer and the win was fully deserved because we dominated over 90 minutes."
