Alain Emerson failed to find the target for Loughgall |
Some superb goalkeeping by Loughgall's Marc Robinson denied Second Divsion Banbridge Town another upset in the Nationwide Irish Cup. Robinson pulled off a magnificent double save after Banbridge were awarded a 13th minute penalty.
The Loughgall keeper blocked David Irwin's spot-kick and then saved the follow-up from the same player.
Banbridge, who beat Cliftonville 3-2 in the fifth round, also went close when Dessie Gorman hit the bar.
Former Linfield star Gorman also forced another fine save from Robinson.
Loughgall put Town under pressure in the second half with Alain Emerson and Stevie Coulter missing chances and Ally Wilson's effort hitting the bar.
