Raymond Domenech says France face a physical test |
Raymond Domenech says the 5-0 thrashing France gave Scotland in their last meeting in March 2002 will mean nothing at Hampden Park on Saturday. "I was not here, so it does not really count," said the head coach, referring to the 2002 victory in Paris in Berti Vogts' first game as Scotland manager.
"They will be dangerous in all areas, from the kick-off to the final whistle.
"The Scotland players can cause us problems. They beat the Faroe Islands 6-0, which we have not managed to do."
France have beaten Georgia and Italy to be joint top of Euro 2008 qualification Group B with Scotland and take on the Faroe Islands in Sochaux on Wednesday.
Domenech believes his side will have to overcome a physical battle, a partisan crowd and the cold weather to win in Glasgow.

The Scots are minus Kenny Miller through suspension.
But, asked whether he was relieved not to be facing the in-form Celtic forward, Domenech said: "That would be an insult to the player who plays in Kenny Miller's position.
"All players want to play and we will look at the ones on the pitch, not the ones who are not playing."
The French boss has decided not to call upon Rangers manager Paul Le Guen for inside information on the Scotland squad his players will be facing at Hampden.
"No, I did not speak to Paul Le Guen," said Domenech, who believes that the Scots can qualify from arguably the most difficult of the qualifying groups.
"He lives in Scotland now and I felt it would have put him in a difficult position.
"I did not want to ask him about the Scotland players. I have other ways of finding out about them."
