Yves Colleu said he would support both countries at Hampden |
Rangers assistant manager Yves Colleu has backed Scotland to surprise France in their Euro 2008 qualifier. Colleu said he would be rooting for both sides during Saturday's game at Hampden, having worked with a number of players who are expected to feature.
"I will be there to see the game and I'm looking forward to it," he said.
"France have a very good team, but I think Scotland can cause a surprise. It will be very hard for the French team to win at Hampden Park."
Colleu said it would be "a strange experience" watching Rangers' Barry Ferguson play for Scotland and Julien Escude, who worked with Paul Le Guen at Rennes, also featuring for France.
"Scotland will know France are a very good team and will need to organise to this situation," he said.
"I think we will see a very tight Scotland team, who will play deep and try to take advantage on any occasion.
"It will be hard for France, but they will know that.
"I support two countries now and it will be great if they both qualify from this group."
