Four goals in his first three international appearances sealed Dmitri Bulykin's place in Russia's squad for Euro 2004. Brought into the squad by coach Georgi Yartsev, the Dynamo Moscow striker helped Russia secure a play-off spot with a hat-trick against Switzerland.
He bagged another goal against Georgia and finished as Russia's top scorer in their qualifying campaign.
The 24-year-old cemented his reputation with three prolific seasons at Dynamo.
