Kevin Kuranyi exploded onto the scene with 15 goals as VfB Stuttgart finished second in the Bundesliga in 2002/03. He continued his rapid development, helping Stuttgart into the Champions League quarter-finals the next season.
Born in Rio de Janiero, Kuranyi chose to take on his father's nationality to earn a call-up to Rudi Voeller's squad.
