Burnley 2-2 Millwall

Ian Moore came off the bench to snatch a point for Burnley against Millwall at Turf Moor.

Moore's goal with just five minutes left on the clock earned a draw for the Clarets, who had also come from behind to win their last two league games.

The home side took the lead through a Dean West penalty, but goals from David Livermore and Kevin Davies looked to have handed the visitors the three points.

But Moore was in the right place at the right time to extend Burnley's unbeaten run to five games.

Millwall handed a debut to on-loan striker Davies and it took the former Blackburn forward less than three minutes to have an effort at goal.

  Key moments
18: Dean West opens the scoring from the spot
31: Livermore equalises for Burnley
64: Kevin Davies gets a debut goal for Millwall
85: Ian Moore earns the Clarets a point

The young striker fired in a volley from 25 yards but it was well over the bar.

Paul Ifill had the first goalscoring opportunity in the seventh minute when he burst into the box, but from a tight angle his shot was blocked by the legs of Marlon Beresford.

Millwall were looking the brighter of the two sides and Christophe Kinet hit the side netting early on.

But it was Burnley who took the lead in the 18th minute.

Dimitrios Papadopoulos earned a penalty when he was bundled to the floor by a clumsy tackle by Millwall skipper Stuart Nethercott.

West stepped up and drilled the penalty in off the crossbar.

Burnley appeared buoyed by their goal and Little fired in a shot through a crowded area after Tony Warner failed to collect a cross, but it was somehow kept out.

Just as Burnley appeared to have established control of the game Livermore grabbed an equaliser for the visitors.

Ifill did well to beat two men and get into the box, but his cut-back failed to find a Millwall shirt and the danger was half-cleared.

The ball came out to Lawrence who fired in a shot which was going wide before Livermore controlled the ball and drove it past Beresford.

In injury time the impressive Papadopoulos' shot was brilliantly kept out one-handed by Warner and the keeper did well to spread his body to keep out Taylor's follow up.

Well worked

Both sides had chances in the early stages of the second half, with Ifill and Kinet being denied by Beresford for Millwall and Taylor seeing a header hit the top of the crossbar for the home side.

Millwall went ahead through a well worked goal in the 64th minute.

Ifill went past a couple of defenders before slotting the ball through for Steve Claridge who squared the ball for the unmarked Davies and he had the simple task of slotting home.

Just as all seemed lost for the home side Burnley got back on level terms through Moore with five minutes remaining.

Robbie Blake turned Livermore and found Moore bursting into the area and he slotted the ball past Warner to make it 2-2.
