Tommy Warrilow's Angels were making their Blue Square Bet South debut

Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow believes striker Frannie Collin is good enough to play league football again.

With ten goals in as many games, the 24-year-old former Gillingham player, is Blue Square Bet South's top scorer.

Warrilow told BBC Radio Kent: "Technically, he's probably the best player I've ever worked with at non-league level.

"Some of the things he does in training are ridiculous. I can't see any reason why he can't have a go at being pro."

As a teenager, Collin made nine appearances for Gillingham under manager Neale Cooper, when they were a League One side.

But after being released in 2007, the former England schoolboy international moved to Dover Athletic and then to local rivals Tonbridge Angels in 2010.

Warrilow was also full of praise for Collin's strike partner Ade Olorunda - even though he has found the net just twice in the league this season.

He said: "Ade hasn't had much luck in front of goal, but the shifts he's been putting in, Frannie is really benefitting from."

With the likes of Gillingham striker Adam Birchall having moved from Blue Square Bet South to the football league in recent years, Warrilow insists he would not stand in Collin's way if a big club came calling.

"You want boys to progress. Lee Minshull has gone to AFC Wimbledon, Leggy [Leon Legge] has gone to Brentford. If they are going to move on, you want them to move on properly.

"If Frannie Collin moves on to be a pro at a pro club, I think the fans and the football club would be delighted for the lad."
