Boston United joint-manager Jason Lee expects Marc Newsham to return to his best this coming season.
Having netted 29 times in the previous promotion-winning campaign, Newsham scored only five goals last season.
"He probably felt that would have been the end as far as we were concerned and that we might not have confidence in him," Lee told BBC Lincolnshire.
"But we remember that the season before he was a prolific goalscorer and we're expecting big things of him," he added.
"I've seen enough in training to know that he's got something about him.
"He will be like a new signing, a very important player for us."
