New Boston United signing Jordan Fairclough says he hopes he can kick-start his career with the Pilgrims.
The 20-year-old full-back signed earlier in the week after rejecting the offer of a new deal from Corby.
The former Nottingham Forest trainee told BBC Lincolnshire: "I was told the best way is to start at the bottom and work my way back up.
"You see players like Chris Smalling now in the Premier League, he was playing in the Conference South."
He added: "Seeing what has happened to him gives me inspiration."
