Boston United allow five players to leave

Boston United

Blue Square Bet North outfit Boston United have released five players from their squad.

Defender James Cullingworth and striker Danny Davidson, who each made more than 70 appearances for the Pilgrims, have been allowed to leave York Street.

Goalkeeper Dan Haystead, striker Adam Boyes and midfielder Stef Frost have also been let go.

The remainder of the squad, including Shaun Pearson and Anthony Church, have been offered new deals for next season.

Defender Pearson and midfielder Church have been linked with moves to clubs in higher leagues but joint-manager Jason Lee has said he would like to retain their services.
