Telford striker Adam Proudlock keen to end goal drought

AFC Telford United striker Adam Proudlock is looking to end his recent goal drought by scoring in Sunday's play-off semi-final against Nuneaton.

Proudlock has not scored a goal in the league in 2011.

"I feel a bit disappointed. I'm a striker who thrives on goals, but at the moment I'm playing well," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.

The second leg is being held at Telford's Bucks Head Stadium with the first leg at Liberty Way ending 1-1.

Despite having not scored this calendar year Proudlock has still managed 11 goals for the season so far.

"I'm happy with my form, it's just the goals that are missing. I'd take not scoring in the next two games for us to get promoted," he added.

The 29-year-old has suffered with a hamstring injury in recent months which he feels has had an affect on his game: "I get it strapped as a precaution, but it feels a lot stronger. The injury did come at a bad time, but at least it's sorted now and I'm able to be in the play-offs."

The Bucks are expecting one of their biggest crowds since the club reformed seven years ago after the old Telford United went out of business whilst playing in the Conference.
