Boston United defender Shaun Pearson says the Pilgrims are confident of securing a second successive promotion.

Boston head to Guiseley on Tuesday in the first leg of their Blue Square Bet North play-off semi-final.

"I really think we can do it. You've got such togetherness with the group of lads in our dressing room," Pearson told BBC Lincolnshire.

"We believe we've got a great chance and hopefully we can finish the job we've worked so hard for all season."

Pearson, who has been named player of the season for a second year running, believes Tuesday's match between the two sides promoted together last season has the makings of a great game.

"We had two cracking battles with them last year and beat them twice. This year we've drawn with them. They're a good team. We're probably both the two form teams going into it," he said.
