England striker Dowie's late effort was ruled out for offside

Lincoln and Everton are both still looking for their first Women's Super League win after they fought out the new league's first goalless draw.

England winger Jess Clarke went closest to putting Lincoln ahead with an early shot which bounced back off the post.

On a poor Lincoln pitch which helped neither side's passing game a tight, physical game of few chances ensued.

Everton's England striker Natasha Dowie got the ball in the net but her effort was ruled out for a marginal offside.

The visitors had to settle for their third draw in three games, but in front of a crowd of 424, a point apiece was a fair result.
