A Gareth Arnison goal in each half for Workington helped condemn Worcester City to a 2-0 Blue Square Bet North defeat at Borough Park.
Kick-off had to be delayed for half an hour as City's coach was stuck in bad traffic on the M6 - and that certainly did not help their cause.
Workington did not take the lead until two minutes before the break through Arnison's swerving shot.
His second came on 56 minutes from the spot after a push by Asa Charlton.
Despite arriving at the ground just 15 minutes before the scheduled kick-off time, City actually made a bright start.

Their best effort came after only two minutes when Tom Thorley's drive was saved by home keeper Aaron Taylor.
But Arnison's double condemned them to their fourth defeat in six league outings.
City manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"Their second goal looked quite innocuous. The referee gave a penalty for a push.
"I didn't really see anything so that was maybe a little bit harsh.
"But, in all honesty, it flattered us slightly as Workington were well worthy of their win this evening."
