AFC Telford United's Meechan & Proudlock near comeback
Meechan has been out of action with a groin strain
AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton says that strikers Alex Meechan and Adam Proudlock could be back playing within a week.
Meechan (groin) and Proudlock (hamstring) have both been sidelined over the last couple of weeks.
"Both are making significant progress," Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"Whether Alex will be available to face Boston remains to be seen. Adam's had intensive training at Lilleshall, he maybe back in a week's time."
The pair's return will boost the Bucks as they look increasingly likely be in the play-offs at the end of the season with league leaders Alfreton now five points ahead of Telford with two games in hand.
Sinton also admitted the break for Proudlock maybe a good thing.
"By his own admission, before he got injured I don't think he was quite firing, he was down in the dumps with himself. He needs a goal like any striker, he hasn't scored in a while."
Telford face Boston at the New Bucks Head on Saturday with forwards Yannick Salem and Andy Brown both in form in front of goal after scoring in the 5-0 win against Corby on Tuesday night.
