AFC Telford United midfielder Levi Reid says he hopes to extend his stay beyond the end of the season after signing a short-term deal at the club.
Reid, 27, signed on non-contract terms after engineering his release from financially troubled Stafford Rangers.
"The set up here is league standard, everything's done properly," Reid told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I'll come in and try and impress the gaffer (Andy Sinton), then we'll see what happens at the end of the season."
Budget cuts forced the former Port Vale and Macclesfield man to seek a future away from Stafford but he has immediately targeted promotion with his new side who sit second in the Blue Square Bet North, two points behind leaders Alfreton.
"There'll be plenty of twists and turns yet," he said.
"I can't see Alfreton winning every game, all we've got to do is keep picking up points and see how it pans out."
