Corby Town boss Graham Drury has signed a 12-month contract extension, keeping him at the club until June 2012.

Since becoming manager in January 2008 the 39-year-old has taken the Steelmen from the Southern Premier to the Blue Square Bet North.

In addition Corby narrowly missed out on last season's play-offs.

"We are delighted that we have been able to extend Graham's contract for at least another year," said acting chairman David Mallinger.

"In the short space of time that we have been here we have been impressed by Graham's enthusiasm and desire, and this appointment provides not only stability, but the platform for the club to move forward."

Former Stamford boss Drury added: "The side next season will have a younger average age as well as a stronger spine to the team.

"Whilst the rebuilding has already begun, we still have hopes for this season and want the fans to carry on their fantastic support and be a part of what we are looking to achieve.

"It will be a new experience for me as a manager but it's one I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to lead the team out for the first game at the new stadium."
