Northampton Town have terminated the contract of winger Alistair Slowe after he failed to make an appearance for the first team.
The 22-year-old still had three months to run on his current deal after being signed by previous boss Ian Sampson in the summer from Cypriot club Onisilos.
He played his youth football for hometown club Brighton.
Slowe then moved to play in Ghana in 2006 before switching to Cyprus two years later.
