Harrogate Town get elusive away win at Gainsborough
Harrogate Town came from behind to get their first away win in Blue Square Bet North since October.
They beat 10-man Gainsborough Trinity 3-1 with goals from Graeme Armstrong, Wayne Phillips and Gary King.
Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "It was important to get three points on the road today.
"We earmarked it as a game where if we harbour ambitions of playing in the top half of the league we've got to come and get at least a point."
Gainsborough took the lead in the game after just five minutes but Luke Waterfall's sending off allowed Armstrong to equalise with a penalty.
Weaver said: "The sending off may have changed the game but it was important to have the composure to keep the ball against ten men. We went on and won the game and all credit to the lads.
"Since the start of 2011 we've grown in conviction and belief I think the commitment was there again. It's a good sign of strong character when you bounce back from a 35 yard finish and come back and win the game."
