Mansfield Town see off Alfreton in FA Trophy derby
Parker joined Mansfield this summer after leaving Oldham
Keigan Parker grabbed a late winner as Mansfield Town came from behind to beat Alfreton Town in a thrilling FA Trophy third-round replay at the Impact Arena.
High-flying Blue Square Bet North side Alfreton took the lead when Matt Wilson showed neat control and hammered the ball high into the net from 12 yards.
But Paul Connor's right-foot strike drew the Blue Square Bet Premier side level 14 minutes after the break.
And substitute Parker's deflected shot on 77 minutes secured the win.
Parker's strike, after keeper Ross Turner had saved from Connor, was particularly cruel on Alfreton who had dominated the first period against an out-of sort Stags.
But visiting boss Duncan Russell tore into his players at the interval and Connor twice went close to levelling before he did make it 1-1.
And Parker ensured that Mansfield made it through to the quarter-finals when his effort looped into the net.
The Stags now face a quarter-final tie away to Chasetown on 26 February and are now just two wins away from a trip to Wembley.
