Chairman backs Gainsborough Trinity boss Brian Little
Gainsborough Trinity chairman Peter Swann has reiterated his support for manager Brian Little.
Saturday's 4-2 loss at Workington was Trinity's fourth defeat in five games and left them 18th in the Blue Square Bet North.
But Swann told BBC Lincolnshire: "I'm behind Brian all the way.
"We've made a mess of this season and he admits that, but he does a great deal behind the scenes and coaching-wise. We just haven't had the results."
Swann added: "People may not like his style, and I can't say that even I agree with what he does 100% of the time, but I brought him in to do the job and there's no point in bringing in another manager at this time."
Former Aston Villa, Stoke and Leicester boss Little said: "If Peter wants me to do the job then I would like to do it. At the moment it's not working for me but my mentality is that I want to get it right so I will stick at it."
