Murtagh spent two years with Yeovil before joining Wycombe last summer
Kieran Murtagh has said he wants to use his loan spell with Woking to get into the first-team squad at Wycombe.
The 22-year-old midfielder has joined the Blue Square Bet South side on a one-month deal.
Murtagh told BBC Surrey: "At the moment Wycombe have got a really good team and we're winning games. There's a lot of competition for the team.
"I was looking for a loan. I want to get myself out, get fit, go back and see if I can push myself there."
The Antiguan international has revealed Woking coach Steve Thompson was instrumental in bringing him to Kingfield on loan.
"Steve was my coach at Yeovil so he called me and asked if I wanted to come down," he said.
"I though I'd come and play a few games."
Murtagh made his debut in the Cards' 1-0 victory over Thurrock on Tuesday, and is set to be involved in this Saturday's FA Trophy tie against Salisbury City.
"It's a big game," he continued. "I'm glad to try and help Woking get as far in the Trophy as possible."
