Disappointed Ebbsfleet still hunting for new striker
Daish has been at Ebbsfleet for almost six years
Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish is still looking to bring in a new striker after being let down by a potential new signing last week.
Daish watched his side pull off an impressive 3-1 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Dover on Saturday.
But afterwards he told BBC Radio Kent he needs to bolster his injury-hit squad if they are to continue their climb up Blue Square Bet South.
"I tried to get one in on Friday and got let down," said Daish.
He added: "If the right one comes along, if someone says 'I'll have some of that, I'll come and join you' then great. But if they're unsure of it, they're not for me.
"The two lads that I've bought in, Ryan [Blake] and Conor [Okus], they want to be first team players and I want players who want to do that.
"I'd rather them want to do that than sit at home on a Saturday watching the scores come in. They're out there enjoying being in first team football and it's what players need at that age."
