Andy Sinton warns Telford to be ready for Blyth test
Andy Sinton's Telford United have now kept 15 clean sheets this season
AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton has warned his men to be on top of their game for the long trip to in-form Blyth Spartans on Tuesday night.
Telford are fourth in Blue Square Bet North, four points adrift of leaders Alfreton - but Blyth are not far below them in eighth.
And both sides are confident after reaching the last 16 of the FA Trophy.
"We'll try to go and win. If we're not on our game, we'll come unstuck," Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"We've got a long journey to Blyth, but we'll do things professionally."
After enjoying a run of four straight wins prior to Christmas, Blyth have not won in three league games since the turn of the year.
But, while Telford were beating Eastwood Town 1-0 on Saturday to book a home date with Darlington, Blyth were beating Altrincham 2-1 to set up a home third round tie against Droylsden.
New Telford signing Lee Smith, on loan from Forest Green Rovers, was cup-tied for Saturday's FA Trophy victory.
But he comes back into Sinton's squad and will have cause to be confident, having hit a hat-trick against Spartans last season for Gloucester City.
