Shrewsbury Town have signed Coventry centre-back Jermaine Grandison on an initial one-month loan.

The 20-year-old defender, who worked his way up the youth ranks at the Ricoh Arena, has made five first-team appearances for the Sky Blues.

"We've been working on this for a week, and I'm looking for one or two more in the transfer window," Town boss Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire.

Grandison has also had two loan spells at Tranmere Rovers this season.

If the six foot four defender shines at Shrewsbury, Turner will talk to Coventry about making the deal a permanent one.
