Blue Square Bet North side Blyth Spartans have signed Carlisle United goalkeeper Mark Gillespie on a one-month loan deal.
Gillespie, 18, signed a professional contract at Brunton Park during the summer, and made his first-team debut last season.
"Mark has performed really well in training," Carlisle boss Greg Abbott told the club website.
"He is hungry for games and we think this one is a good move for him."
Abbott added: "He will get valuable pitch time and it is a level of football that will really test him.
"He will have to stand up and be strong as it will be very competitive.
"In terms of development we feel that this will help to push him on and we think that he will come back to us a better player for the experience."
Blyth face Eastwood on Saturday, with Gillespie eligible for selection.
